I have a new dentist. My former dentist was great, but I wanted to find a closer dentist geographically. So, Dr. Yucel is closer. Very thorough. She has me on a new brushing program that entails double brushing, the second with a new electric toothbrush. My old one was beyond its last legs, so fine. Then swirling a rinse and waiting 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything. I set a timer. My teeth do feel very clean. She wants to do a deep cleaning, which requires an upgrade of my dental insurance. More telephone time on hold.
I used some of the wait time to make my salad dressing concoction. The whole process takes about an hour and a half, with assembling the ingredients and chopping. So, about a third of the way through, the insurance call, which was on hold, was disconnected (second time). OK, tomorrow. Back to the dressing. Most of the time spent is mincing the tarragon leaves with scissors. I could use dried tarragon, but as long as I’m going to the trouble of making my own dressing it seems foolish to compromise with old flakes. Anyway, it is delicious. And goes with everything digestible.
My super exciting life continues. I watched “Thank you, next” on Netflix, my go-to at night. This one you can skip. It’s about a woman that juggles three suitors. The closest I ever came to that was unexpectedly having two, and not for long. Anyway, this woman, Leyla, does manage three. She goes out a lot. The high point is her wardrobe. And her shapely body, of which you see all. The script is mediocre, the acting less. I was rooting for the cute, rich guy with the private jet. All three are madly in love with her. I’m thinking, ‘why’? The woman has no personality. Unless you’re interested in plunging necklines (front and back), you can easily skip it.
Of much more interest and distress was an interview with President Zelensky of Poland. He has been very courageous to take the lead of Poland with the invasion of Russia. Not surprising is Trump’s refusal to continue U.S. military arms support to Poland. Perhaps because Trump is buddies with Putin.
Here’s something I’ve been confused about: when Zelensky is introduced by Western media, his background before he became president, is cited as ‘comedienne’. In French, ‘comedienne’ means ‘actor’, not ‘ha-ha comedian’. At the present, Zelensky is not making jokes.
And so much for low-cut dresses…
