Speed voting

I am pushing myself to make my choices and post my ballot. I know which candidates to choose. In fact, I’ve already filled in the little circles.

Then there are seven State propositions and 10 city/county ones. The SF Democratic Party sent their endorsements for the local stuff and that helps. I just want to get it posted in plenty of time.

One local proposition that confused me as to why it was on the ballot for the fourth time, is the one about extending Golden Gate Park right through the Great Highway (Hwy 1). This would divert traffic into and around the neighborhood, changing the flow very significantly. And probably confusing drivers. This was proposed by a group that wants direct access Ocean Beach from the Park for themselves and their dogs. As I said, this has already been voted on three times. I will report here further after Nov 3.

My sisters’ Wed. Zoom chat, set up by sister Connie, has become a highlight to look forward to. A lot can happen in a week. It’s a really good way to keep up with each other.

I had some wine delivered today. When the DoorDash guy arrived, Neighbor Geri was just taking her dog Sheena for a walk and Geri opened the gate and joined us returning to the building. The delivery guy said he needed my ID. I said, Yes, it’s inside. I’m over 21. (Which was obvious, especially with the cane). That “I’m over 21” comment started the three of us building more outlandish comebacks. Finally Geri pointed out that Sheena was over 21, too. You know Sheena probably is.
