Surrealism past

As I am reconstructing details of my past performances for an interview, I ran across one I’d overlooked. It was done at Studio Eremos (now defunct) at Project Artaud. I called it “And so forth -Notes on a Useless Country”. I was inspired by a short story by Georges Henein . I used his title. Jon Greene ran Studio Eremos. Jon is now gone and his studio is now Z Below, run by the Z Space people. This putting together of my personal memoir is making me feel like a relic. Perhaps that escalates my value.

In cuisine du jour, I used Mel’s method of dressing corn on the cob. It is simply: squeeze lime juice over the steamed corn and dust it with paprika. Very good and a nice change from butter.

I’m exhausting what Netflix has to offer. At least what appears to be interesting to me. Today it was “Nobody Wants this”. It’s about a non Jewish woman who meets an about-to-be head Rabbi and they fall in love. It’s supposed to be a comedy. A few, not many laughs. I was interested in part because Mel was Jewish. Although the only practicing observation of his was Jewish holiday feasts. Extraordinarily fantastic. No need to convert.
