Hope

A guy in a wheelchair shooting basket ball hoops from Iowa is running for the US Senate as a Democrat. He’s polling good. If he wins that would tip the ratio of the Senate. His name is Josh Turek. Fingers crossed here. Backed by Obama and me.

Very warm/hot outside today. I went out to the courtyard with a book and only lasted 30 minutes. BTW, didn’t need the cane with my new foot. It’s supposed to be even warmer tomorrow. I’m guessing I’ll last 10 minutes outside. According to scientists Global warming is cyclical. Like every 100,000 years. Of course pollutants accelerate that. If the livings things on our planet (you and me and vegetation) are extinguished, hopefully a few seeds will remain to get the ball rolling again. What a jolly thought.

While I’m thinking of preservation, I cleaned out the fridge today. My dilemma is that I hate to waste food, but it’s hard to cook for one. I end up with leftovers, which are perfectly good when I store them. Operative word is “when”. Quite a heavy garbage bag.
