Miracles do happen

Today Paul and Edith showed up with a new keyboard that connects to my new telephone.  It would be impossible to write at length on the mini phone keyboard.  At the same time Nick came.  He is a young computer genius and he connected everything.  Yes, to me it was a miracle.

Last night I was making calls to let my friends know about my new telephone number.  I called Lourdes and woke her up at 3am.  She was in San Sebastian, Spain.  The call was short.  At least we know my phone is capable of international reception.  And she had been trying to call me during the week before she left.

Spent three hours at my Fire Credit Union filling out a report and filing it.  It will be reviewed and possibly there will be a refund.  The banker said when she took it, that it was already registered.  Yes, my banker knew about it, but this report has all the details.  That’s why it took so long to complete the four pages.  Anyway, I was in the waiting area and two men came in with dogs.  One was named Murphy and the other King.  On the (Fire Union) counter, they have a ceramic fire hydrant filled with dog treats.  I only knew about the human treat jar.  Speaking of dogs, when I left my home there was a dog turd on my welcome mat outside the door.  The taxi was waiting and I promised myself I’d take care of it when I returned.  I forgot and stepped on it without knowing and dragged the mess into my house.  When Edith called to give me heads up about their impending visit, I saw it.  Cleaned it up and yes, it was also on the bottom of my shoes with vibram soles.  Oh joy!

Next Sunday, there will be a celebration for our building’s  new Rainwater Catchment system that is now complete.  A potluck with music.  I’ll make a lentil salad with dill, bell pepper, cucumber and feta cheese.

And so it goes.  Happy to be back blogging!
