This day, being 25 years since 9/11, there were several memorials. And through broadcast, we heard a synopsis at each site, NY, Washington and Pennsylvania. Certainly a time that could and will not be forgotten.

I asked both my sisters where they were that day. Turns out, like many adult Americans, we three were on our way to work.

Fleet Week is happening in the Bay Area on October 9, 10, and 11. It’s an air show along with Naval vessels, including aircraft carriers. In the past the Blue Angels “warm up” the day before. This breaks sound barriers. It scares intelligent animals. And it draws big crowds. To me it’s a pro- forever war display.

As you can see, I’m against it. Both the waste and forever wars. A few years back I wrote a letter to the SF Chronicle, which was published, arguing against the expenditure and noise pollution. The day after it was published, I was at a party where the subject came up. One attendee glared at me, “Oh, YOU wrote that!” I calmly replied, “Yes, I did.”

Moving on.. I got a notice in the mail reminding me to vote. That’s like advising you to brush your teeth, albeit voting is not every day.

Completely off politics, I’ve been watching old Seinfeld episodes. Many are familiar. I’m studying the comic set-up. There’s always an obstacle, then off-the-wall solutions. They push it to the edge of anything logical and then it all works out. After I laugh, the writers have my respect.
