Vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate and plain cookies. That is my go-to late night treat. Although, I used to enjoy it while watching Stephen Colbert. And then he ‘retired’. That disrupted my schedule, what was he thinking? He wasn’t thinking, “Oh, Bijou won’t enjoy her ice cream. I must continue.”
Another treat that is by-gone is caviar and champagne. On very special occasions. That is truly extravagant and costly. But oh so good! One time a well to do boyfriend shipped caviar from the Caviarteria in NYC. They doubled the order by mistake. It would spoil if I returned the excess. So, I had a party. The Invitation read, “Bring your own champagne, and plenty of it”. Yes, a delicious time was had.
These days, I’m just trying to get Netfix back working. It is far more relaxing than broadcast TV. And that is welcome after doing my workout and attending to the rest of living.
Last note, I composed a song by request from my older sister for the younger one. I asked that she give me a tune that is familiar and that she would record it or sing it to the younger. “Can do.” Was the reply. OK, I came up with lyrics to “Frosty the Snowman”. Good tune choice, by the way. I sent the lyrics to the elder sister, which she liked. OK, I’m done. Not yet, when we three were on Zoom, she directed me to sing it. I did, but next time I’ll get a contract in writing of the terms.
