Big laundry, including the sofa cover, throw pillow cases, new honey, fresh spinach, what’s left? All my socks too. Those are important because they cushion my feet in the one pair of shoes I depend upon. I can’t seem to get rid of all the pretty shoes that no longer work. They were worn with stockings anyway. Power to socks!
When the Apple people rebooted my iPad, quite a bit was erased. So, building that back, too. Summer cleaning.
Resumes got wiped as well. Making new resumes is kind of fun. There are a wide range of formats available. I was worried about not having a printer, but everything is online. And that’s a space plus.
The tricky part is not making different resumes for the type of job sought, but how to make the experience I do have pertain to job offered. For example, if I’m applying for a copywriter position, oodles of experience in hairstyling and dancing doesn’t put the resume on top of the applicant pile.
A clever cover letter will have to include phraseology that the particular company may not come across with the average applicant’s letter. One job that appealed to me was to take AI generated copy and translate that into description that would clearly sound natural, inviting and human. That seems like it would be a real service.
