I’m surmounting my fear of tech. Nick showed me how to record audio. Today I set the mike up, plugged it in and found the channel. I recorded a short piece from “I Fellini” and test sent it to my sisters. That’s before I send the two recordings, the other from “Heart of Darkness”, to Audiobooks for narration consideration. That’s a job I would love to do.
Next I contacted a Medicare government consultant to clarify which program to sign up for. No fee and not trying to sell me a specific program a broker would. We’re having a meeting tomorrow, Saturday, which pleased me. All docs ready.
Monday is busy. Besides medical referrals, I have an appointment with a grief counselor. It’s not too soon to talk about my deep sadness about losing Patti. Years ago in a similar but less profound situation, a psychiatrist whose hair I did advised, “Expect the unexpected”. That already happened when Myra suggested getting postage for Christmas cards and it hit me that Patti would be gone.
I’m watching Tina Fey’s Netflix series, “Four Seasons”. One take away is that “ grief doesn’t get smaller, you have to become bigger”.
Right, I’ll leave it there….
