I think the reason I held off on viewing this movie was the combination of Brad Pitt and Hollywood together doing a film about the Dalai Lama. I was suspicious of there being a spiritual link. It was good. Not ‘rosy’ good, the Chinese invade after all. But good.
I posted an announcement on the mail room board for “Artaud Book Club”, with date and time. I asked those interested to r.s.v.p., as I only have so many chairs. And I left Wendy a note to put the announcement in the email she sends to members with building news. I noted that the first meeting will be about what we’ve most recently read and the interests of the attendees. This first meeting will be Nov. 7, after Election Day. If it gets going, I’ll suggest we rotate studios and meet once a month. Enough time to read a new book.
I’m about halfway through “I, Fellini” now. I’m planning to do my second audiobook sample narration from the text. So, as I’m reading, I pause and read a paragraph aloud to see how it sounds. That has slowed me down. His life and work are fascinating. Also, I have to wait ‘til after 6 pm, when the street noise dies down. My big, beautiful windows are not soundproofed. My professional microphone picks up everything. Good sound quality though.
Toot-a-loo….
