Brian’s Salon today was as pleasant as expected. The four piece music ensemble was quite good, especially the pianist. They were followed by four women who read, individually, their writings. The first was very witty, with her child in the balcony responding on cue to everyone’s laughter. Second up was a Chinese woman with a story about the ocean flux and related that to brain function. Then two more. I did meet up with the usual suspects who attend Brian’s events. I invited the Chinese scientist back to my place.
After she left, three more visitors came by, individually. Almost like an open house. So, I’m glad to be in P.J.s. After being something of a hermit, it was nice to catch up. I haven’t lost my verbal communication skills, albeit in English for the most part. I am happy to live where I do and also happy to close the door at the end of the day.
