Baby, it’s cold outside

Made it to the eye doctor today. I had set up rides from Paratransit, which allow a 25 minute window. You wait for their van on the sidewalk at the earliest point of the window. OK, it’s only 69%, however the wind is 20 mph, I’m waiting in the shade with no place to sit. Wendy cam by with her cane and we did a mock cane duel. I considered going back inside, but I didn’t want to risk missing the ride. Which did show up at the last minute.

I got to the eye doctor on time. He agreed that the surgery was a success, didn’t need the medicinal eye drops any longer and would see me in four months. His exam took three minutes.

I have to mention two ladies who were walking both up and down Van Ness Ave. when I was attempting to disembark from the Paratransit van. They asked if I needed help? Clearly, yes. They were both beautiful. The one I accepted help from was Mabel. She had the most beatific face. She glowed. It was as if two angels had appeared.

My ride home was another story. The Paratransit van never showed up. So much for planning. So, I sprung for a taxi. Getting home was worth it.
