This Turtle won the Race

I was told I needed a heart valve replacement. OK. Hmm. Not something you get around as any cardiologist will tell you.

And so, Lot’s of pre-op prep and scheduling. I had had the Walkman devise embedded 7 years ago.to regulate my heart flow. Apparently the life span is only good for 7 years, at best. Its time was up. And mine, if I didn’t act.

Today, I am home. All went well, Kind of iffy and in the hospital a couple of days more. But, Hallejua!

It did open my eyes, and heart to even more respect to those who are professional, know what they are doing. My surgeon did five procedures on the same day as mine. (Ok 4 + me). I hope Dr. Spies had a lunch break!

So good to be home. I packed like I was going to the Antarctic. In a sense it was unknown territory.
